Best Dry Rub for Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients 

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1.  Mix all ingredients in a bowl.  Use a fork to crush any clumps of sugar of seasonings.  Store in a container for up to a month.  
  2.   Heat oven to 275 F​
  3.   If the ribs have a thin membrane covering the back of the rack, remove it.
  4. Season both sides of ribs with dry rub.  
  5. Place ribs meat size up on a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil.
  6. Cover the pan or baking sheet tightly with aluminum foil and bake until meat falls easily from bones, 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours.  
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 15 minutes then add barbeque sauce of choice.
